Sometimes phones don't respond to the call manager. Symptoms may include black screen, "Phone Registering", or other abnormal behavior.
The best (and only) way to troubleshoot this is to do a hard reset. Follow along in the 40 second video above, or follow the steps:
- Unplug phone in back.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Hold # on the front of the phone, and plug phone back in.
- In order, push: 123456789*0#
- Wait 1-3 minutes for phone to boot up.
- Sometimes a hard reset doesn’t work the first time. If needed, repeat hard reset 1-3 additional times.
Additional troubleshooting steps are to double check that the phone is plugged in, try plugging the phone into a different ethernet port, or try a different ethernet cable.
